Any news on when this thing is going to start again? Also why is it not on MASN, only WDCA?

The Bad: yeah, so, eh, there is a 100 percent chance of rain through midnight tonight.  then an 80 percent chance then.

The Good: the chance of precip tomorrow at 1st pitch has been decreased to 60% (if you can call that a good thing)

The Skinny: wow our boys are stinking...maybe it's good that we're in a rain delay...hey at least we haven't lost!

Fox was originally scheduled to air it, and they dropped it.  Baltimore had to change the start time before anyone else could be allowed to air it.  Angelos doesn't want WDCA to air more than one game per week, to prevent Washington from developing a fan base.  (Exceptions: Yankees and Red Sox games sell ads.)  So he let us have this one, since Fox dropped it.  Radio 107.7 FM and 1500 AM went to backup programming 15 minutes ago so Charlie and Dave could take a break.  They'll let us know as soon as the ground crew starts clearing the field.  Chad was all warmed up when they stopped again.

So what exactly happens if the game gets called with a tie in the 9th?

MLB Rule 4.12
(b) A suspended game shall be resumed and completed as follows:
    (1) Immediately preceding the next scheduled single game between the two clubs on the same grounds...
    (4) Any suspended game not completed prior to the last scheduled game between the two teams during the championship season shall become a called game. If such game becomes a called game and...
(ii) has progressed far enough to become a regulation game, and the score is tied, the game shall be declared a ?tie game.? A tie game is to be replayed in its entirety, unless the league president determines that playing the rescheduled game is not necessary to affect the league championship...
(c) A suspended game shall be resumed at the exact point of suspension of the original game. The completion of a suspended game is a continuation of the original game. The lineup and batting order of both teams shall be exactly the same as the lineup and batting order at the moment of suspension, subject to the rules governing substitution. Any player may be replaced by a player who had not been in the game prior to the suspension. No player removed before the suspension may be returned to the lineup.
A player who was not with the club when the game was suspended may be used as a substitute, even if he has taken the place of a player no longer with the club who would not have been eligible because he had been removed from the lineup before the game was suspended.
BUT PLAY HAS RESUMED...

It just keeps getting worse.  How do you walk Matos?????????????  That is inexcuseable.  Can't blame Frank for that.  We don't execute.  The Orioles are the better team.

I'll tell you something else.  I'm getting way to pissed.  I leave for vacation tomorrow and the timing couldn't be better.  It's not my job or family that has me stressed, it's these jack asses every night.  (I'm 1/2 kidding, but in all honesty it will be nice to not be able to follow these guys for a week).

i don't know if they are the better team.  i know that cordero can't walk the leadoff hitter and he deserves to lose.   i thought we had the game lost when majewski entered.  he got lucky.

welp, lets win tomorrow and salvage the season series vs the blows.  that way we can split.

Mora is INTENTIONALLY walked, despite the fact that he has 50 strikeouts.  (Washington leads MLB with most IBB, and continues to distance itself from #2.)  So Hernandez, who only has 36 KO's, drives in the winning run 2 batters later, when the inning could have already been over.  We were walked 9 times and lost.  Taking LeCroy AND Schneider both off base with idiotic steal attempts, when neither has stolen a base all season, lost the game (it COULD have been called early with us ahead.)  We've already lost this series now.  Bad managing by Frank, again.  He must go, and I'd like to see him fired tonight.  He can hide behind his hat and take a nap at home, where he belongs.

I just wish that we could dump Hernandez, Stanton, Armas, Ortiz, Soriano, Guillen, Vidro, Clayton, LeCroy, Ward, Anderson and Jackson for young guys (prospects and guys ready to play like Lastings Milledge) so that we could field a team of young guys who WANT TO WIN. Guys that show heart. Guys that are fighting just to play. Guys that want to play, not just for the money.
And get rid of FR. He's out of it. Anyone see him just staring into his hat randomly? He can't manage a team anymore.

Hell, bring up the freakin draftees if they show more heart and pride. But the main reason for the terrible play is FR. And we all know he won't resign unless we tank. Bowden doesnt have the balls to fire him. Kasten will let him finish the season out of respect.
