The Washington Nationals today recalled from rehab and reinstated outfielder Elijah Dukes from the 15-Day Disabled List and placed right-handed pitcher Kip Wells on the 15-Day DL, retroactive to May 31, with a right adductor strain.

What's an adductor?  Is that similar to an abduction?  Like, the aliens came and abducted my pitching ability?

Um, that would require him to have some ability in the 1st place...

He has some ability.  He can throw it really hard after all and he's been in the bigs for a while.

I see.  If they'd said groin in there somewhere that would have been a whole lot easier.  Thanks for the graphics.

In honor of Kip Wells, I will refer to "strikeout per inning pitched"  as "KIP."  A KIP of >1 is very good.  Kip doesn't do well on KIP.

Why did they even put him on the DL? what a waste. :?

He's not hurt. Just release his ass.

Even if Dukes contributes nothing, this move is straight addition by subtraction.

But if they said groin, people might think he hurt his junk.

Maybe, I hope most people know the difference between groin and testicles though.

I'm now done talking about Kip Wells' groinal region for the day.  thanks

Most people do, but "groin injury" is sometimes a polite way of saying "junk injury".

they could have said groin for junk but kip wells has no testicles so they couldn't say groin injury
