and of course the first question was about zimmerman, but i don't see you bringing that up 8)

oh well that's enough for tonight, see you all early tomorrow.  gonna be hard to work.
Manny wasn't worried about RZ and I am not either really considering the other glaring problems we have right now.

yep, I'll be here tomorrow. let's hope we have something positive to talk about for a change.

Olsen very pissed off. Says "we just have to be better. point blank. we have to be better."

about time someone showed anger about this dreadful start.

Yeah, Olsen's comments should be studied by Manny.

I liked his response to the question: "Anything you'd like to take back?" ; Olsen: "All of it."

i know volstad has a below average fastball, a good change and curve.  he's a youngster, so i'm sure our approach is to be patient.

as for cabby, well we pray that he has one of his good days.

time to watch saving silverman.

i don't even smoke, i may have to as well haha

we don't know if we don't try. give Dukes 4 at bats tomorrow, and i'll bet he hauls finds his swing.

We need someone who can HIT, not a swinger...

We won't know if Milledge can find HIS swing unless we let him try. We lost too many games last year waiting on Dukes' slump and Zimmerman's Annual April-May Slump.  We need to start Willingham, who actually was hitting.  Zimmerman should ASK Acta to move him down in the batting order, since Manny is too chicken to do it himself.  Milledge is the new Wily Mo Pena.  We lost too many games last year because we had a clueless manager.

On Monday, Washington's problems continued against Ramirez, for he went 2-for-3 with five RBIs, including a grand slam in the sixth inning off right-hander Steven Shell.

"This guy is one of the elite players in the league," manager Manny Acta said. "There is a reason he is the face of this franchise. He is great hitter who can do it all on the field."

So how can the Nationals stop Ramirez? Pitching coach Randy St. Claire has the answer.

"You have to make pitches," St Claire said. "For me, we pitch him very poorly. We make a lot of mistakes and he doesn't miss those mistakes. [When Shell gave up the grand slam], that was supposed to be a curveball down and away.  You look at it on replay, it was up and in. You can't make mistakes like that. We just pitch him very poorly. We give him way too many pitches to hit."

Yea, he should after what he did tonight.

On paper he was pretty good but from what we've seen so far, its crap. It sucks, its unfair.

This team needs a miracle to have everyone play to their potential.

Milledge K'ing all the time, Pitchers giving up massive amounts of walks, hits and runs, No one advancing the runners, it sucks!

Put in Willinghammer!

i'm serious, all Dukes needs is to connect on ONE pitch and he'll start tearing the cover off the ball. we saw it happen when he exploded vs the Cardinals last year to break out of that extended slump.
This makes about as much sense as blind beggar, not much.  Why would you play a player who's in a slump when you have two productive, experienced players who currently slumping?  If Willingham can play CF, he should, at least for right now.
