Really? In 2004 the rumors were flying that the Expos were coming to DC and it certainly would not have been a stretch to have guessed that the eventual owners would have fielded a playoff team by now. What's more surprising is that it took this long, first MLB delaying the sale for a year and a half then old man Lerner cashing in on league revenue sharing for five years.
What was truly surprising was that we were in first at the Fourth of July in 2005.
