From the local listserv:
Our bikes were stolen tonight from a garage near 17th & Kalorama. They
were locked with thick chains and multiple kryptonite locks. One is a
red Klein "carbon team" road bike and the other a blue and white Trek
Madone women's road bike. They were likely stolen by someone who is
familiar with the neighborhood and cased them out in advance. Any
information appreciated. Thanks.
Uh, why would you keep them in your garage? That's probably the werst place to do that if you have any tools out there or a power outlet. A handgrinder would make short work of all of those deterrents in about 30 seconds.
