Wow.  :PC bat signal:

Google is in the process of upgrading how users work off-line in Gmail.  In order to execute this upgrade they are phasing out their current method of working offline.  As a result, on Tuesday, May 24, the Gmail Offline Mode will no longer be available through the Chrome browser. 

The upgrade will be complete by mid June.  Once completed, you will receive a communication detailing the improved functionality. 

If you need to work offline between now and mid June, you must do so by utilizing Internet Explorer 8 (IE 8).   

This browser is already installed on your computer and easily accessible.
