From the AP report for this game:
[Marquis] helped stake himself to a 6-0 lead after one inning. The Nationals scored six off Javier Vazquez (2-4), and then hung on to win.
How was that "hanging on"? The game was never closer than three runs and they won by four. The
tying run was at-bat once, in the 7th and that's as close as they ever got...to tying the game. That's hardly "hanging on".
Now, the Marlins "hung on"...by the skin of their teeth... to win the previous game but someone "hung on" didn't make the AP report for that game.
