I don't think I've ever had one. I'm primed and ready, though.
Oh my god! They grow all through the mountains here. They are highly sought after by chefs, dried ones are $15 or more an ounce. We used to go hunting them and come back with bags full. Soak em in water to get the ants etc out, coat in flour, then fry 'em in butter.
You've got to go hunting them when they come in again next year. They are so good.
