I had a similar "issue" several years ago. Wife lost her job so we had to cut back. I suggested we eliminate her Diet Coke allowance and keep the DirecTV Sunday Ticket. I miss seeing the Steelers every week but I've taken to drinking Diet Coke with my rum when I mix it.
The NFL Sunday Ticket was the breaking point. I told my wife I'd turn tricks if I had to. She let me keep that but I had to drop the MLB Network.
