When your offense scores zero runs, you can't blame the pitching. I usually say if the offense doesn't score at least three runs, you can't blame the pitching. Zero runs scored is just the extreme. If your offense scores zero runs, the FIRST run a pitcher gives up, he's responsible for the loss. I can't buy that. I can't buy the idea that whichever pitcher was on the mound, the first (and last) time an opponent scored he gets the blame when the offense had TEN INNINGS to push ONE RUN across home plate!
Well that's your opinion. I am sure he would tell you he feels like crap after that one.
