Ivan Rodriguez, leading the National League with a .450 batting average and seven doubles, will sit out Wednesday, Manager Jim Riggleman said. The Nationals will play at 4:35 p.m. Thursday, so although Rodriguez asked to play all seven games this week, Riggleman will try to keep Rodriguez fresh.
