Kyle Davies (2-5, 7.69 ERA), still searching for his first victory since returning from the 60-day disabled list, starts for Atlanta.

Davies has made three starts since being activated by the Braves on Sept. 1, going 0-2 with a 14.40 ERA. He allowed three runs and three hits in 2 2-3 innings against Philadelphia on Wednesday, the first game of a doubleheader the Phillies swept from Atlanta.

''I think I've gotten out of the way I'm supposed to pitch,'' Davies said. ''I've gotten away from what got me here, and that's being extremely aggressive.''

Davies hasn't won since April 30. He went on the disabled list on May 17 to have surgery on his right groin.

Seven of his 11 starts this season have come against Philadelphia or the New York Mets , so he'll likely be happy to be facing a new team.

Davies went 1-1 with a 4.82 ERA in three games against Washington, all last season.
