It's not that bad, lot of guys left on base today - which is a partly bad luck.   Riggleman also has a quick hook.   Sometimes you just need to let these young starters stay out there, even if it means the game.   Alternative is a beat up bullpen.

Manny would have taken him out too.  Riggleman nor Manny don't seem to have a sense of their team.  The manager has to have a sense of whether the his team is likely to win a game.  Looking at the totality of the situation, Riggleman had to know the likelihood of winning this game was small, regardless of who was pitching, because of how we were playing offensively.

Balestar's pitch count was only 75.  You leave him in until it's at least 100.  Let him try to work out of it.  He might learn something from it.  All that would happen else is that we'd lose, which, again, was likely to happen anyway.
