Well at least we agree on something ;)

Although I can't really fault HalfSmokes' opinion either.  Dunn might as well swing at everything with all the garbage-pile guys hitting behind him.

If it's a pitcher behind you with two outs, I think you have to look for something to try and put in play, but the more guys on base, the more the pitcher has to work under stress and the better chance for the batter. Getting on base is the key to plating runs. These guys can't help that other guys suck. I do think they need to work on preaching situational unselfish hitting though. That's the only way these guys are going to produce. Going after your OBP guys for not driving in runs is Dusty Baker like and is pointing the finger in the wrong direction.

(BTW, I was simply responding to you in turn. It's an important debate. But will try and keep it to certain threads)
