Quality Start is a bogus stat.  A pitcher's job is to give the team a chance to win, it is up to the offense to win the games.  What it means "to give the team a chance to win" changes on a nightly basis and with the team they are playing.  I agree somewhat with Dibble's line of thinking in regards to Zimmermann's start against the Dodgers.  If Zimmermannn had been knocked out in the third inning or earlier, then the bullpen would have had to have pitched the majority of the game and we would have surely lost.  Instead, Zimmermann clamped down while the Nats crawled back.
