Washington:
Esteban Loaiza, RHP (6-6, 3.56)Scouting Report:
Just when Loaiza finally began to receive some run support, his team embarked on its worst offensive slide of the season. Loaiza allowed three runs -- one unearned -- in seven innings Thursday against Houston, but the Nationals could only muster a pair of ninth-inning runs and lost, 3-2. It was Loaiza's first loss since June 13 in Los Angeles.
Atlanta:
Tim Hudson, RHP (7-5, 3.59)Hudson threw a quality start in his second outing since missing a month with a strained oblique muscle, but received a no-decision in a game the Braves eventually lost in extra innings. "I wasn't nearly as sharp as I would like to be, but i still felt pretty good out there, " said Hudson.
