Nice inning Billy! Our starting pitching (minus Ortiz) has been great as of late.
I give Ortiz a pass - he's been the most consistent pitcher all year - he gets a bad outing - Billy looking good - good clutch hitting ... nicely done so far tonight
I still don't like Ortiz. He is too inconsistent. At best he is a #4-5 starter
Nobody suggesting he's the staff ace - but all things considered, with the Pen a glorified mash unit - I've appreciated his effort this year - he has pitched a couple of real gems only to get let down by the bats or the defense - so for what we've got - I think he's done ok.
