Have they always shown pre-game activity this far ahead of the first pitch on MASN or is this a recent development?

Yeah I've had it for a while. Cox forked over a bunch of money to get MASN at the beginning of the season due to customer demand. Supposedly the cost gets passed on to the customer, but I haven't noticed any dramatic increase in my cable bill, and I wouldn't care even if I did... it's worth it!
