It'd be embarrassing to lose against our lineups these days. :?

Young is batting 3rd!?  I thought Bernadina worked much better hitting towards the end of the lineup, I don't know why they put him back in the 1 spot.

EDIT:  The actual lineup does have Bernadina in the 8 whole and LOPEZ in the 1 hole.

Lopez - 4
Belliard - 5
Guzman - 6
Kearns - 9
Young - 3
Flores - 2
Pena - 7
Bernadina - 8
Perez - 1

They're saving Lopez to ensure a key pinch hit GIDP in later innings.

No reason to play Pena over Harris.

OT: while we're waiting for the game to begin, anyone notice the KC Chiefs are banning standing during games?

Casto's a better option. Is he even w/ the team yet?

I read about that the other day, they issued a clarification recently that is a bit more reasonable.  Although, what is excessive is totally subjective and therefore difficult to enforce in my opinion.

Quote
The Kansas City Chiefs would like to clarify that their rule against standing while watching games at Arrowhead Stadium is only a rule against excessive standing. Tammy Fruits, the team’s vice president of sales and marketing, tells Fox 4 News in Kansas City that the team’s guidelines for fan behavior — which drew criticism for listing standing among the activities that “the stadium staff will proactively intervene” to stop — are not intended to stop fans from jumping up to cheer spontaneously.“We want Arrowhead loud and proud like it’s always been,” Fruits said. The team will, however, intervene when a fan’s excessive standing obstructs the view of other fans.

Do you guys think a thread w/ this title would offend too many people?

 True. It'd be hilarious, though. But I don't think I'll start it.

Why even play? Brandon Webb's last two starts against us:

May 31, 2008 VS WSH: 9 IP 6 H 0 R 0 ER 0 BB 8 K (CG SO, Win)
Aug 11, 2007 VS WSH: 9 IP 5 H 0 R 0 ER 1 BB 10 K (CG SO, Win)

People complaining that others stand up to cheer and block their view. It's dumb if you ask me. It won't be long before people here complain about the same at Fed Ex. :?

We have not done well against him and probably wont, but in his last four games against real MLB teams he has let up 5, 2, 4, and 7 ER.  His ERA for the last 30 days is 6.26.

Those may be great numbers but I need to watch a game so I'm not giving up before the game even starts. I want to at least make them earn the win.

Perez has looked quite decent after coming off the DL.

He has one more start before the ASG. If he does well tonight and then again on Sunday and maybe even the following weekend I see no reason why he shouldn't yield us a prospect. Did I just jinx him?
