I don't know if the defensive PotY was more for his versatility than for actual D at any position, but assuming they fed him all these positions because he could handle just about the entire defensive spectrum, that is a heck of an asset.

I sort of feel we may be getting to the stage of the kind of wave the Royals has in the early 2010s with Gordon (a little older), Perez, Hosmer, Cain, etc...
It's a model that worked. Gotta get the pitching though. Biggest shame for those Royals teams was the loss of Ventura. That probably held them back from having a longer window. Oh yea, and they are allergic to spending.
