He owes it to the Angels organization who have paid him so much money to be a better representative of the team. It wouldn't hurt him to be more friendly to the press that cover the Angels. I would think all players care about their families more than baseball but they still are decent with the press. Some of the pleasure of watching your team play is taken away when the player you're rooting for to play well goes out of his way to be a jerk.
