Austin Voth DFA'd by the Orioles.
i guess the Orioles superior analytics couldn't fix him for more than one season?

Watching the Phillies/Padres tonight. Nick Castellanos has seen 4 pitches in 3 at bats and has hit in 3 double plays. Talk about a bad night.

This video could be used as a great argument in favor of Robo-Umps.

Or the death penalty

Marlins ball boy chases down a fair ball into the corner and tosses it into the crowd.

Lmao, good one. I don't think that the death penalty is currently enforced in Pennsylvania though ;)

Candy batting .237 for the Cubs. Rizzo may have pulled another good trade.

remember when Elly De La Cruz was looking like the greatest player of all time?

Maybe not...

curent slash line: .235 / .301 / .408
Striking out almost 34% of the time

Since August 1st, 169 PAs:
.189   .286   .338, 59Ks in 169PAs (35%)

Since September 1st, 53 PAs:
.167 / .327 / .191, but just 15Ks in 53 ABs (28%)

So maybe Cincy brought him up a bit too fast?

Cubbies have fallen on hard times. Have lost 7 of 8 and now tied with the Marlins for the final wild card.  Reds a half game back. Think you can write off the Giants with three teams to pass.

Marlins are in tough shape. No more games at Nats Park. They are going to have to earn it.

Padres have won 7 in a row and are only 4 back now.   They'll probably run out of games, but they might make it interesting.

One percent chance with 4 teams to pass.

The Astros have a chance to miss the playoffs. That would be nice.

Wild one in Cincy. Reds had a 9-0 lead but Pirates have tied it in the 7th. Pirates have been ruining some wild card hopes this week.

BTW, K’bryan Hayes is really good defensively at 3B. Certainly much better than his old man.

Rangers have gone from looking like they would fade from the playoffs to being in charge of the division.

As much as the Scherzer move blew up in their face, the Montgomery move was brilliant
