Watching the Yankees broadcast and they show a Bullpen Budget graphic. They list all the relievers and show pitches thrown over the past few days. To show who is probably available. I like that. Maybe someday we will have a real team network and can get things like that.

Ohtani is currently on pace to match Judge's AL HR record from last year. Dude's pissed at losing the MVP to Judge last year and must have decided that this is the one way to ensure he gets it this year.

It still boggles my mind that Shohei Ohtani exists.

No disrespect to Babe Ruth, but he had to give up pitching to max his hitting. Maybe if there were a DH in his day, he would have taken the Ohtani path, but tbh, Ohtani probably could play a position like left if he had too. Given the higher level of competition now, I think what Ohtani is doing makes him the GOAT.

He’s still a kid. If he can do it another 5 years I agree. Just better athletes to compete against nowadays from all races and all over the world.

Yeah, Ruth only had one true two-way season where he both pitched and hit a lot of dingers. Ohtani has been doing it since 2017 and has been doing it at elite levels for the last three years.

In my book, Ohtani is the GOAT even if he retires tomorrow and never picks up a baseball again. Counting stats will never put him in the HoF but simultaneously being the 2nd or so best hitter in the AL and the 10th to 30th best pitcher in the AL for three years is enough for me. None of us will ever see that again.

On ESPN Baseball Tonight Sunday, they had somebody's tweet that said, basically, that were he to retire tomorrow, they'd have to rewrite the HOF rules to allow him in even without 10 years in MLB.

Enjoying watching the Astros meltdown against Texas. We’re ahead 10-2 and now trail 11-10. Another throwing error for Bregman. And Macormack was called for running out of the baseline. He never got into the baseline until the last step and then complained in a major way about it into the next half inning. Texas broadcasters having a good time with that.

Trout out at least 5 weeks with a Hamate bone fracture.  If they can't tread water for the next few weeks, that would put Ohtani on the market, I'd think.

3 post season games in Mike Trout's entire career is sure big waste.

Rough day for the angels. Ohtani left with a blister, Rendon left with a leg contusion after fouling a ball off his leg

Dodgers announce Dustin May out for the year with flexor tendon surgery. Get on the line Rizzo and see what they will give for Williams.

When AOL Ted and his DIGITAL WIZARD son take over the Nats you'll get Michael Morse, Ian Desmond and Adam Eaton doing all the content and you'll like it.

Seems like it shouldn't be that hard. They already have a minimum number of PAs and a minimum number of IP to determine if a hitter or pitcher is eligible for the relevant awards. Just have each year that you qualify for one add to that total. If you have both pitching and batting in one year, you'd count it as two years towards the 10 for HOF eligiblity.
