Livan Hernandez, RHP (3-5, 5.35)Hernandez held the Dodgers hitless through four innings in his last outing before giving up a bloop single in shallow left field to Willy Aybar. The right-hander lasted seven innings for his third consecutive start. Opposing hitters have not homered off of Hernandez in his last three starts.
VS.Cory Lidle, RHP (4-4, 4.92)Lidle topped the 100-pitch plateau for just the second time this season in his last start -- a no-decision against the Brewers. Lidle gave up a two-run homer to the second batter of the game, but escaped much more damage thanks to double-play balls in each of the first four innings. Lidle's final totals were four earned runs on seven hits and five walks on a night when he admitted to a lack of control of his changeup and his curve. Lidle allowed four earned runs in seven innings in his only start against the Nationals this year -- a loss on April 18.
