I think he'll retire after seeing that in order to start regularly in the big leagues again, he'll have to go through either getting traded or being signed in the offseason. Either way, he'd have to move to yet another city, and considering he's only got a year or two left anyway, it might not be worth it for him.
I don't think it'd be too hard to trade him, though. Yes, we'd have to showcase him, but it'd be worth it for what we could get in return. A good contact hitting catcher is still a rarity.
