Nationals: Sean Doolittle, LHPDoolittle, a respected veteran arm who was limited to just 5 1/3 innings last season because of an elbow injury, is expected to be a full participant in camp. Having signed a Minor League deal, the 36-year-old Doolittle is a fascinating case study, because he opted for what is called an “internal brace procedure” -- an alternative to Tommy John. The procedure is relatively new and unproven.
The most interesting guy to watch at Nats ST according to mlb.com: Sean Doolittle. Sigh...I would have gone with Gore.
Maybe the extra weight will help. Gotta try something. Anything at this point.

Perhaps not so much Doo as Doo, but Doo as a demonstration of the new surgical technique for dealing with partial UCL tears. Maybe it will become known as a "Doo-over" the way UCL replacement is known as "Tommy John Surgery."I think I read either a QB or maybe a catcher is getting the same surgery as Doo.
MASN to carry 3 spring training games plus the home exhibition vs the Yankees. That’s it.
Alu has a fan in Martinez, who is impressed with Alu’s bat and wants to test him in left. Last season, in stints with the Class AA Harrisburg Senators and Class AAA Rochester Red Wings, Alu made 112 starts at third base and nine at second. Advanced defensive metrics considered him a plus defender at third. As for the outfield, he has four starts in left as a pro, all with the Senators in 2022. He also manned a bit of left and right while at Boston College.

“The delivery is so unique, it comes down to how you set up and where you’re distributing your force, where you’re distributing energy,” Gray said. “I think I was a bit straighter. I haven’t looked at any video. … But from the feedback I got, it seems like everyone is on the same page. That’s all you can ask for, for now.”
Gray has been working on his mechanics, trying to straighten his body consistently.https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2023/02/19/josiah-gray-nationals-corrections/
If gray, cavalli, and gore pitch well this might be the worst season ever.
Remember, it's easier to have high hopes now with marijuana being legal.
If gray, cavalli, and gore pitch well this might “not” be the worst season ever.
