Worst rotation I can remember. It is Josiah Gray and nobody. I remember the 1954 team pretty well, and had most of the cards from 1953. I'll take Bob Porterfield and Walter Masterson from 1953, and Chuck Stobbs was OK even though that season he gave up Mickey Mantle's homerun that cleared the LF bleachers. The 1953 team had Connie Marrero, who taught generations of Cuban pitchers the curve ball: Camilo Pascual, Luis Tiant, right down to Livan Hernandez.

The first expansion team had miserable pitching, but a couple of those guys had once been good. Dick Donavan was terrific for the White Sox, and still pretty good. Just starting out, there were Claude Osteen and Tom Cheney.
