FWIW, I was drinking with a guy who new Zobrist from high school and swears by him. Zobrist is evangelical and pretty sincere about it.  His wife is a Christian singer.  He probably is pretty shaken, almost as bad as being hit in the head.  It would not surprise me if he retired if he thought it would save his marriage.
