Kieboom batting ninth.  I thought this whole 'pitcher bats eight' thing was predicated on having a second lead-off type hitter in the 9 spot?

oh, and,

TONY IS BACK!!

woo-hoo....one of the rare times that I will be watching my Jays over my Nats, as Vlad debuts, tonight !

watching the pre-game, now, and it's all about Vlad, with all the hype rarely/hopefully feeling worth it...

If Zimmerman weren't in the 5 hole it would be a decent lineup.

I thought Rendon isn't a typo for Difo.

all that being said, I sincerely hope 'kieboom' and vlad both have a great debut, tonight...  and let it be just that--a debut, with no excuses for them not to stay with their big league clubs !

as everyone will note, the Nats are sadly scuffling as they are, but I could hardly have more young, truly admirable prospects to watch with my two top teams--from 'soto' and 'robles', to 'kieboom', and from 'vlad', 'pearson', 'bichette', and 'biggio', for the Jays

Nice to hear Carpenter clear his throat.     Carp's gonna strain his pipes.    He might be on the IL for tomorrow's game.
