My brother had to actually get quite abraisive with a South African TV crew once who wanted him to read THAT passage from Hamlet for them. He explained, as a resident, not a tourist, and not being part of the actors guild he couldn't actually do it as he would probably get a visit from some RSC heavies.
So the actors' guild has a monopoly on historical play performances? Is that legal or through thuggery?
