It really is the perfect storm for the Mets: an ongoing history of injuries that does seem to be more than one club's fair share, year upon year; the mishandling of Harvey's last start *detail below; the now-infamous rejected Syndegaard MRI; and the injury. When you put them all together, it's really hard to not ask some difficult questions. if I were a fan, I'd be as pissed as that cussin' kid in the video.
*The last Harvey start was moved forward a day; the FO and staff knew Syndegaard might be scratched a day in advance but didn't give Harvey a heads' up. Harvey, blissfully unaware that his schedule might change, stuck to his normal workout routine and ended up without a recovery day, which he says may have been a factor in his poor performance.
