Huh, how about that, I never knew I had anything other than the full AARP membership. To be fair, I only use it for buying airfare and the occasional hotel discount (I can usually get a better rate by prepaying direct with the hotel). Looks like the big difference is you can't buy insurance through AARP's group until you're 50 (or 49 1/2).
I have had AARP since I turned 50; don't seem to use it for much. But just renewed it anyway for another 5 years. Sometimes I get a free donut at Dunkin Donuts with my coffee. The hotel discounts are good but sometimes you can find others just as worthwhile.
