Golf 2015
« Topic Start: January 28, 2015, 06:40:36 PM »
Phoenix Open this weekend.     It's worth watching just to see the antics on 16.      Starts tomorrow on the Golf Channel at 3 PM.

He was suckin' wind early (+5) then got an eagle.    Leader is like 6 or so under.

Checking the Golf Channel.    It's like they're discussing a funeral.      Tiger's 36 hole total at Phoenix is the highest of his career.

I've never seen a pro clank so many chop shots; don't care if he has a new swing coach every week.  driver being off is understandable.
He has David Duval/Steve Sax/Steve Blass/Rick Ankiel/etc. syndrome.

The caddies are absolutely correct.

On, no doubt.

I saw Steve Williams was told, after he and Tiger split, that he could no longer wear a shirt that had a logo on it while caddying.    I would venture it's still all a first world problem.

Has anyone played at Old Trail in Crozet, Virginia? I just got the schedule for my 20-year reunion in Charlottesville and there's no golf tournament this year for whatever reason. Bummer, as that was one of my favorite parts of the weekend, so we may try to fit in a round on our own. Never been to Old Trail and it's considerably less expensive than Birdwood.

Watched part of the tourney today and his swing is awful.   Told my wife his inside out swing looks like mine.    He's got nothing around the green and the one choice he made on a putt (#11?) was ugly.    Faldo was goin' off on all this.     That was the first 10 minutes of the broadcast.    :)     He kept reaching for, rubbing, favoring, etc. the lower right back near the hip.

I hope not but it didn't look good.    Lots of TV analysis goin' on.    Lots of folks are blaming the swing he's trying.    As ya get older, ya can't swing like ya used to, ya know?     :old:
