OK, I looked up the WiFi sharing, it's an option, not the default, and basically if your Facebook/Outlook contact is at your house, it automatically logs them in to the wireless network. But they can't turn around and give your password to someone else.
Perfectly happy to have people ask me "what's your wifi?" though.
