Yes, multiple desktop / groupings of Windows. Never played with the add ons.

Windows 8 was basically a tablet OS forced down desktop users throats so that's what people are used to. The complaints are that it isn't designed well for touch, a lot of the touch shortcuts don't exist or don't work well, start menu, etc.
