Liriano got 2 years and $14 mil from the Pirates.
Wow. That is a huge bet for the Pirates given their limited budgets. I kind of hate it for them but I don't know enough about the rest of their rotation for next year to really hate it. Still, for a team with a low budget, they are risking flushing $7 mil down the toilet on a guy as inconsistent as Liriano.
So much for my idea that we offer him $3M to be a reliever.
