I think the issue is more that they have little proven talent in left and right, a weak bench and their starting catcher having to serve a 25 game suspension to start the season. Charlie's never been a wiz at handling the bullpen instead relying on the starters to pitch deep into games. I think it's asking a bit much from Halladay and Lee to pitch 230-250 innings.
Yeah, probably that too.
Also, Halladay will turn 36 early next season. He's been amazing but I have my doubts that he will bounce back from a poor age 35 season as he turns 36.
