I think he's a solid argument as to why pure contact hitters aren't that valuable 
I'll take strikeouts + doubles/homeruns over groundouts/popouts + slap singles.
And I'll take Lombo: strikes out 200 times a season, hits 15 or 16 home runs. If he hit 40, the strikeouts would be OK.
