I don't think as an OF'er you really have time to sneak a peak at the 3B coach.

I don't think I've ever heard of a 3B Coach deke. I don't see the point. Bad play by Desmond that he got away with of a worse play by Beltran.

Happy to have the run....

If Werth hadn't broke his wrist this season, that's gone.

Harper didn't like that call. Someone needs to calm him down and get him back to his swing.

Maybe not but if he's holding it up flashy and shouting "go go go" it could slow Beltran down.

Probably just wishful thinking.

Maybe, but the other fielders might be watching.  Beltran jogged quite a bit before he threw, he could've been looking after he made the catch.

Gburg,

Like I said... Don't think the OF is going to sneak a peak at the 3B coach. More likely would be judging the runner.

I can hear F.P. defending the Nats saying they never steal signs or something.

obviously i was never a major leaguer, but in high school and college i and every other outfielder just kinda assumed on any base hit, the guy on 2nd is heading home.  if he doesn't, really doesn't affect the play if you hit the cut off.
