I don't think it is a smart move to offer LaRoche a new contract. He has been out alot due to injuries, and I 'd rather see someone else at 1rst Base-such as Tyler Moore. Just my view..... 
The only down thing about the guy is that he usually has a very weak first half. Luckily for us, he didn't this year.
