The reported Jack Kent call up makes me wonder if we are entering another phase where the roster is pruned to make room for guys the Nats want to see in the majors this year. If that's the case, then a Morales call up could be imminent.

By the way, both Vivas  and Tena I think could be outrighted if they clear waivers. Chappy could be optioned, as could Pinckney, but they need a 4th outfielder and Chappy is just hitting too well right now to do that to him. Abi is a lefty so I don't see him being optioned, either.

thing is, he has to be added to the 40 man in December or exposed to the rule 5 draft. IDK if that proceeds if there's a lock out. IF it does, then it makes no sense not to give him a run  in the majors for a bit. There's nothing special / more special on the fringe of the roster to block him. It  may be that they want him playing every day in AAA that part timing for now in the majors.

might as well give him a shot and DFA Tena or Vivas since they surely won't be around next season (right? right?)

Last update, after the 56th win, the playoff teams had risen to the top. This update has even more sorting. The next block has 5 teams that finished with 81 or fewer losses but missed the playoffs. That's the company Team 2026 is keeping. Below that block are teams with 73 wins or fewer. Team 2007 has not quite risen  to the top of that block, but the order of teams now is pretty close to their final records. I only had to flip 2026 with 2015 to re-sort the wins by date into the win by games played list.
