Oh the excitement. Their biggest walk off since Pearl Harbor. We watch Sumo and you knows those guys want to scream or yell but they almost never show any emotion.

Great to hear from you! I followed you on Facebook for awhile, then deleted it. Nothing to do with you  :hysterical:

I'm glad everything is going well.

**Dusting off the cobwebs**

Well, I am still alive and kicking (though my clients might not be, more on that in a bit). It has been a while but life finally caught up to me and kicked my a**. Went through some really dark and terrible personal times where sports just didn't feel as important and in fact I look back now and see I might have had an unhealthy relationship/obsession with them, I don't know, they just weren't making me happy and they just weren't the positive escape for me that they once were. Sad too because I really didn't get to enjoy the 2019 World Series victory.

But I did get my head back on straight and I am doing a lot better. Last October I got a job in the Autopsy Department of a hospital and it has been a very rewarding experience for me and for the first time in my life I can honestly say I look forward to going to work everyday. The job does take up a lot of my time and energies so I don't know if this will be a return to me posting regularly, but I've started to fall back in love with baseball again slowly and I was recently gifted a Ryan Zimmerman autographed poster and it just reminded me of my brief blogging stint with the Nats and it reminded me of this forum.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Guess dropping nukes in the Japanese has a different context here
would kind of be a bummer for anyone who played for the Hiroshima Carps.

Profile of Hobie Harris, who is a NRI with a chance to break camp in the bullpen.  Features a very nice splitter that he's developed over the past year or so.  He's a 3 pitch pitcher who aims for 45% 4 seem, 45% splitter, and 10% cutter. Has 3 options, and has an opt out if he's not on the 40 man by mid-July, and can go to Japan, Korea, or Taiwan if he gets an inquiry before then.

Also, a discussion of the potential slots and candidates.

Quote
With six days left of camp, there are still open spots in Martinez’s bullpen. Five are expected to go to Kyle Finnegan, Hunter Harvey, Carl Edwards Jr., Erasmo Ramírez and Thaddeus Ward, who Washington selected in the Rule 5 draft back in December. From there, at least one lefty between Anthony Banda and Jose Ferrer should make the cut. And after that, Harris, Mason Thompson, Andrés Machado, Alex Colomé, Paolo Espino and Wily Peralta are in the picture.

Machado, Harris, Peralta, Colome, and Banda are not yet on the 40 man roster.

You would think they would have had injury data from experiments in the minors, but it may be that younger pitchers are more resilient.

Injuries and WBC were the two biggest reasons I felt they should have waited to implement at the big league level

a little bit of news here from dougherty. His informed speculation on who starts the year on the 60 day IL.  These IL'ed guys would open slots on the 40 man roster for Kuhl etc... who will need to be added.

Victor Arano’s shoulder impingement is expected to land him on the 60-day injured list alongside Cavalli (Tommy John recovery), Tanner Rainey (TJ recovery) and Stephen Strasburg (continued complications from surgery for thoracic outlet syndrome), according to a person familiar with the situation.

They’re dying to see you?

Indeed. Not the most "lively" bunch, but no complaints yet.
