We were at the game.

- Bernadina and Derosa are not starting-quality players. Bottom of the order is almost automatic out.

- Put Lombo in LF

- LaRoche clearly safe at 2b, but Nats got break on a caught-stealing. Probably not evening up, but likely bad positioning by umpire...standing between pitcher and 2B, view blocked by the man covering second.

- Espinosa badly fooled on a couple of swing Ks. Far ahead of the pitch, trying to hold up. Maybe he should just bat right-handed all the time.

- Jackson: one slip.

- No, Davey, don't have Desmond bunt in the 9th, Lombo on 1B. He's a terrible bunter. And have him at least disguise the bunt. He went into bunt stance about the time Rauch got his sign...Wright and Davis were charging...and bad bunt. Might as well have let Desmond swing.

- HRod has to field. (Obviously). Not so obvious is the calm and skill Rauch had...experience, I guess.

- Odd to have Miguel Batista and Jon Rauch pitch against the Nats. Tried to remember who the Nats got for Rauch. It was Emilio Bonifacio, "the 7th best player in the Arizona farm system". What a year was 2008!
