Back in the ancient days of computers (in the '80's ) one way to do it was to hold down the Alt key and then hit the three number ascii code (on the number pad) for the character you wanted. ñ is alt-164 and make sure the Num-Lock key should be off.I just found this page with the codes: http://www.yellowpipe.com/yis/tools/ALT-Characters
