A scout says the Yankees are heading toward the bottom. Yanks are full of old players, like LaMahieu, or players like Stanton, who plays like he is old. Stanton can no longer run without pulling something. Further, they traded too many prospects last year, so the farm system is not as strong.
Last year seemed to encapsulate them since Boone came onboard. At the trade deadline, they drop a solid starting pitcher who came up with the organization and shown he could pitch both in the playoffs and in New York for an injured superfluous outfielder. Then, one of those old vets, LeMahieu, just disappears after the trade deadline with a recurring injury. Then, Boone seems to do what food has been doing in the postseason, and off they go. Yet he and Cashman are back.
