Is that why we all live in the NYC or LA area?
I mean we've all had these discussions and cities come down to personal preference and taste - I've lived in DC and NYC before - and every city has pros and cons. But objectively NYC is the center of the business world and LA is the center of the entertainment world, which are both huge for someone like Bryce. Bigger markets for him, plus each has their own advantages over DC in terms of culture or weather or whatever. If you have $300 million you are living the best life in each city and the best life in NYC or LA is likely better than the best life in DC.
Again, I'm not even disparaging DC as it's awesome and at my level I'd rather live in DC than NYC but at Bryce's level the two biggest cities in the country definitely have their advantages over DC.
