Was inhaling my lunch and didn't read the thread before posting.  Next time I'll take a lesson from Bill Clinton and not inhale before sharing news.

Adon, Henry, Herz look like the start of Rochester's rotation.

I think Rutledge and Davies may be competing for one spot on the roster, while Williams and those guys are all in the mix for the rotation and the long man slot.

Parker was effective yesterday.

Ward optioned to Rochester after today’s appearance  Zuck says they want to stretch him out to be a starter.

The Gallo experiment is not going well so far. Currently 1-17. .059 / .111 / .229

Either way, he's the third highest paid position player on the team, a hair after Keibert and Lane T.  So with this franchise, he'll get more than his fair share of chances.

Hasn’t he been dealing with an injury?

Stats for veterans in the spring are generally meaningless.  He will hit .200.  Strike out a lot.  And some HRs and doubles.  It’s what he does.

My only hope is that he can do it well, get hot right before the trade deadline, and the Nats get a low level prospect for him that could impress as maybe a bullpen arm or a bench player.

The last time Gallo hit .200, the Nationals were World Series Champions

Unfortunately, if history repeats itself Gallo is here to the trade deadline and is traded for a bag of balls or is Corey Dickersoned because his 5 M is guaranteed. This is a bad signing by Rizzo as Gallo is who he is and there is no bounce back season on the upside. He is not blocking Wood but very well could be taking AB’s from Winker who has an upside.

No team in their right mind would have spent $5 million on this dude.  Now he can't even play outfield.  If there were a remote possibility that he could be flipped at the trading deadline, then maybe you keep him around.  Sometimes you have to admit defeat -- cut him loose, because he's worthless.

The fine ownership of this org struggles with the concept of a sunk cost, so they have this "I paid you so I'll play you" mentality that often does not work out well if you actually want to win.  Boras manipulated them, and they fell for it, in spite of their typically frugal ways.  There was no reason to sign him, and no one's going to part ways with a bucket of balls to trade for him.
