Go ahead and post it

I’m guessing the moderators will not allow the posting of a certain scene from Mischief in this thread as a tribute.

Was very shocked this morning while doing my daily check on IMDb seeing that in the news section.

John Meacham was working with him on a biography.  Meacham thinks he was about as close to a saint as you can get in the US, in terms of his virtues (non-violent, willing change, speak truth to power, courage, empathy, putting his life on the line for the cause, etc...).

I watched some of the tributes to him this morning. He led an inspiring life and seemed almost universally beloved.

He was a fixture on lots of tv shows back in the day.  Can't remember which ones though.

Looking through his filmography, I realized that other than Enter the Dragon, I had seen virtually none of his films. TV credits, though...  Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Ironside, The Virginian, It Takes a Thief, Kung Fu, The Streets of San Francisco, The Rookies, Police Story, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Six Million Dollar Man, The Bionic Woman, The Rockford Files, Hawaii Five-O, Wonder Woman, Starsky and Hutch, Quincy, Fantasy Island, Vega$, Dynasty, Falcon Crest, Hardcastle and McCormick, Scarecrow and Mrs. King, Murder, She Wrote, The A-Team, Magnum P.I., etc. That's just a sampling, mainly of shows I was familiar with growing up then.

Eddie Schack. Former Hockey star.  Clear the Track. Here Comes Shack.

I was gonna say that 83 was a good ride, but that's only 15 years out...

While I empathize with the family, a few more folks who were well known in political circles dying of COVID complications will likely be a net positive for the country when Congress wakes up and realizes this isn't something that just happens to the lolpoor, but can in fact take down those with the best private medicine money can buy.

It seems like the number of dead, what demographics are hit the hardest, etc., etc., has both sides of the aisle treating the deaths as a statistic to point to, in order to make a point. If four Senators died from it, regardless of party, we would see a really strong push for legislation to contain and control this.
