Second Half Predictions
« Topic Start: July 06, 2005, 12:32:46 AM »
I think the Nationals will cool off slightly in the second half.  But I have to pick the Nats to win the NL East division.  It's a special year for a special team.  If Jim Bowden can pick up a slugger by the trade deadline, I like our chances even better.

Here's my final NL East standings prediction:

Washington Nationals  94-68
Atlanta Braves  90-72
Florida Marlins  85-77
N.Y. Mets 79-83
Philadelphia Phillies  75-87

What do you guys think?

We have to win the division if we want to make the playoffs, I think the wild card is going to go to the second place team in the NL Central. It really depends on injuries, trades, and heart. If we can keep it going and feed off the fan's energy, we'll keep going strong.

I don't think we'll get 100 games, but we'll come close. Very close.

I'm not big on making predictions, so for now, at least, I'll hold off on making any. I will keep hoping the Nats continue to do well and keep on making the experts look the fool.
