I’m really surprised they played games yesterday.
$$$ - not just for NBA owners, but money spent by people who made plans to attend the games can't just be put aside
They cancelled the Lakers game tomorrow. That's appropriate. The last time NBA games were cancelled was when John Kennedy was assassinated. This does not rise to the same level.
UConn’s women’s team held a seat on their bench tonight for Gigi. She had talked about wanting to play there.
Canceling the game tomorrow is weird to me, I mean the day it happened? That I would understand, but canceling one game two days later when the fans of the Lakers and Kobe pretty much WANT an outlet to wrap their sorrow in? I don’t get the rationale.
Not a good comparison, for unlike JFK, only 1 game is cancelled and not all NBA games, as in 1963.

Holy smokes. My Dad would have been 100 this year. Boggles my mind anyone can live that long. He seemed to have most of his faculties also.
Orson Bean killed at 91, after being hit by 2 cars in Los Angeles.
Read that; you make it to 91 and then die that way--sucks.
Better than in a nursing home bed.
